• Username: Chosen by you when joining chat. Used to display your identity in chat and leaderboard.
• CringeCoin balance: Virtual points earned through app activity (reactions, posting memes, chat). Stored to power leaderboard rankings.
• Streak count: Number of consecutive days you've used the app. Used for gamification.
• Chat messages: Text you send in the public chat room.
• Meme interactions: Reactions (💀, 😂, etc.) to memes.

We do NOT collect:

• Email addresses
• Passwords
• Device identifiers
• Location data
• IP addresses (beyond standard server logs)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Display your username in chat and leaderboard
• Track CringeCoin balance for leaderboard rankings
• Show your streak badge for consecutive usage
• Display your chat messages in the public chat room
• Show your meme reactions to other users

3. Advertising

CringeScroll uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

Important: We do NOT share your username, CringeCoin balance, streak count, chat messages, or meme interactions with Google or any advertising partner. Ad personalization is based solely on anonymous site usage patterns, not your personal data.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View your username, CringeCoin balance, and streak
• Delete: Clear your data by logging out and clearing browser localStorage

To delete your data permanently from our servers, email us at cringescroll.contact@gmail.com with your username.

6. Children's Privacy

CringeScroll is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
